Heretto CCMS 2026.10.07 (Next-Gen Infrastructure)

Note:

The Next-Gen Infrastructure for Heretto CCMS was introduced in CCMS version 2026.09.11. All Next-Gen Infrastructure CCMS versions use a new versioning format: yyyy.mm.dd. The Next-Gen Infrastructure for Heretto CCMS is being rolled out to customers. We'll share more details with each customer as their migration approaches.

  • Fixed. We fixed a localization issue where creating a new source package for a release made all existing locales of that release unavailable. Locales now remain available correctly when a new source package is created.
  • Fixed. We fixed an issue where saving a topic containing an annotated image incorrectly added DITA class attributes to the SVG markup, which could corrupt the image data. Annotated images are now saved without this incorrect attribute insertion.

  • Added. We added the ability to trigger a webhook notification and automatically create a release as part of an assignment workflow action.
  • Enhanced. We made several Content Library and branching improvements, including a confirmation step when deleting a branch that contains locked files, faster file moves, and more consistent file name handling.
  • Enhanced. We improved search and content reuse, including expanded search indexing and backend evaluation of reuse performance.
  • Fixed. We fixed an issue that caused some topics to display broken links in the Content Editor.
  • Fixed. We fixed an issue, where branches that had already been deleted continued to appear in the branch selection list. Deleted branches no longer appear in the Branch drop-down menu.
  • Fixed. We fixed an issue where merging content from one branch into another did not always retrieve all of dependencies in a map, which could cause valid links to display as broken on the destination branch. Merges now retrieve all required dependencies so links display correctly.
  • Fixed. We fixed a WebDAV authentication issue that could prevent some clients from being prompted for credentials when connecting directly to a repository or release path.

  • Fixed. We fixed an issue where using the branch-replace mechanism didn't apply updated metadata to the target branch when only metadata, and not file content, had changed. Metadata-only changes are now applied correctly during a branch-replace operation.

  • Fixed. We fixed an issue where leaving the Output tab open for a release for an extended period could result in an intermittent Failed to retrieve the latest releases from the server error. The Output tab now continues to function correctly during extended sessions.

  • Fixed. We fixed an issue in the Publishing Interface where clicking Add file to add a DITAVAL file to a publishing job opened the search dialog without placing the cursor in the search field, requiring an extra click before you could start typing. The search field is now focused automatically when the dialog opens.

October 1, 2026

A new version of the Next-Gen Infrastructure for Heretto CCMS is now available.

Heretto CCMS 2026.10.01 (Next-Gen Infrastructure)

  • Enhanced. We made backend improvements to the Content Library and branching, including publish notifications, file move performance, branch metadata display, and data integrity during merges involving moved files.
  • Enhanced. We made improvements to publishing reliability and internal monitoring.
  • Fixed. We fixed a performance issue that could cause maps and topics to load slowly in the Content Editor, and reuse and table edits to take an extended time to complete. Editor performance is back to expected levels.
  • Fixed. We fixed an issue where files with a literal space in their file name could not be resolved as link targets, causing valid links and images to appear broken in the Content Editor. After the fix, spaces are replaced with underscores (_) and links are resolved.
  • Fixed. We fixed an issue in the Content Editor where a valid link could display as broken because an unrelated broken link or image reference existed elsewhere in the linked content. Valid links now display correctly regardless of other broken references nearby.
  • Fixed. We fixed an issue where webhook-based publishing stopped functioning after migration to the Next-Gen Infrastructure. Webhook-triggered publishing now works correctly in both PDF Generator and DITA Open Toolkit (DITA-OT).
