This release contains a few enhancements to Heretto CCMS - providing you with better visibility into actual broken links.

Heretto CCMS 24.06.26

  • Enhanced. The default sitemap was enhanced to include additional configuration elements, such as sitemeta and sitesection examples. Create a new sitemap to see these updates.

  • Fixed. The Linked Topics Out of Map Scope report now treats SVG files as images (not XML files). Therefore, they are no longer included in the report.πŸ₯³

  • Fixed. Previously, Heretto CCMS reported a URI in the object element as a broken link, regardless of whether the object element also included the codebase attribute. Now, the CCMS only reports a broken link on an object element URI if the codebase attribute is missing. This fix better aligns Heretto CCMS with the DITA 1.3 specification: https://docs.oasis-open.org/dita/dita/v1.3/errata02/os/complete/part3-all-inclusive/langRef/base/object.html#object

Example syntax that causes a broken link to be reported <object data="/someURI"/>

Example syntax that aligns with the DITA specification <object data="/someURI" codebase=""/>

  • Fixed. Review suggestions that happen to include only a beginning or ending element no longer prevent the History tab preview or publishing. Previously, the History tab would show an XQL error, and the publishing log would report an error similar to this: The element type [...] must be terminated by the matching end-tag

This release contains a big enhancement to Heretto Portal - now you have control of the ordering of search facets. Sort away!

Heretto Portal 24.06.18

  • Enhanced. We have added a new portal search facet setting, facetsAdvancedSettings, that enables overriding the default list order sorting for search facets in Heretto Portal. When you use this new setting in your config.json file, you can specify the order of the search facet sections as well as the order of the facets in a particular facet. See Heretto Portal Search Facets for all the details on configuring portal search facets.

This release contains Heretto Portal updates to single sign-on (SSO) with Okta and SSO logout behavior.

Heretto Portal 24.06.12

  • Enhanced. If your Heretto Portal is set up with Okta, you'll be happy to learn that it is now possible to log users out of their Identity Provider (IdP) when logging out of Heretto Portal by using the end_session_uri path and id_token_hint parameter.

  • Enhanced. We addressed a behavior where users remained logged into their Identity Provider (IdP) after logging out of the portal. Now, users are correctly signed out from both the portal and the IdP, ensuring the ability to log in as a different user and enhancing security on public workstations.

  • Added. We introduced a new feature that automatically includes the id_token_hint parameter in the end_session_uri to facilitate logging out from an Identity Provider (IdP) when users sign out from the portal. This enhancement aligns with Okta's requirements and is configured internally to improve the sign-out process.

An Etto improvement, a new prolog look, and CCMS fixes are coming your way!

Etto is a generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool integrated into Heretto CCMS and included in all current CCMS licenses. To learn about how Etto can help you author better content faster and watch real time examples of Etto usage, go to Etto, the Heretto Copilot.

Heretto CCMS 24.06.04

  • Added. Etto, the Heretto Copilot better understands the structure of definition list elements (dl) and is now a much better assistant when working with definition lists. To see what else Etto can do for you, go to Examples of Etto Usage

  • Enhanced. The prolog element now has a new, improved look!

  • Fixed. We addressed a rare case where topics requiring translation were not included in localization jobs if they were linked by another topic that inherited the translate="no" attribute from a parent element in the map. Now, such topics are correctly included in localization jobs.

  • Fixed. We resolved an issue with the glossary entry topic, where wrapping text in the glossary term element (glossterm) with a valid element like the phrase element (ph) caused the associated glossary definition element (glossdef) to disappear from the Content Editor. This happened only when working in the Google Chromeβ„’ browser. Now, both wrapping and unwrapping content in glossterm causes no issues in glossdef.
