Heretto CCMS 22.27

Hello Friends! We prepared another batch of Heretto updates for you. Enjoy! 🤗

Release Date

General Availability - September 30, 2022

Activity Interface

You can open files from the commit activity again!

Fixed

  • When you modify a number of files in one operation, for example, change the status of files in a map with the Bulk Change option, the system records that in the Activity interface as a commit. From there, you can click Commit and view the list of all files affected by the bulk operation. You can also double-click each file to open it. And double-clicking a file to open it is the part that we fixed. The rest of this entry is purely educational. You're welcome! 😉

Content Editor

If you are a Windows® or Mozilla Firefox user, you should take a look at this section.

Fixed

  • Windows® users who'd copy some text that contained a cross-reference (xref) and then paste it as plain text (Ctrl > Shift > V) would see that both link text and the href attribute value would be pasted. We fixed that and now only the link text gets pasted.

  • We resolved one more issue related to inline links. Adding an inline link, for example, external link, to a word or phrase would remove the space right after that word or phrase. That behavior was present only when you'd first highlight a word or phrase that you wanted to be your link text and then added a link. We corrected it though. 😊

  • If you work in Mozilla Firefox, you might have noticed that when you opened a topic that contained some validation issues, you wouldn't see the red validation highlights around invalid elements until you edited the topic. We corrected that and now you can see validation highlights right after opening a topic in Firefox. 🦊

Integrations

We fixed a Mozilla Firefox and Oxygen-related issue. Read on! 📖

Fixed

  • We fixed an issue that affected only those of you who work in Mozilla Firefox 🦊 and use Oxygen. When you opened a file in Oxygen by using the Open in Oxygen button, the file would open in Oxygen as expected. However, the same file in Firefox would not load till you refreshed the browser window or tab. The fix we implemented opens a new tab in Firefox where the open request is processed. In Firefox version 83.0 and higher we can't open and close that tab for you; it remains open. Feel free to close it. Closing it will not affect your work.

Publishing

If you don't use PDF Generator, you can have the Preview option hidden. Yay! 🙌

Added

  • We added an option that will come in handy if you don't use our PDF Generator to publish your content. The option enables us to hide the Preview button with which you can preview the output of your content by using PDF Generator scenarios. If you don't use PDF Generator and would like the button hidden, contact your Customer Success Manager.
