Heretto CCMS 23.1

It's a New Year and a new release number for Heretto CCMS! 🥳

We also introduced some changes to how and when we release the software and publish release notes. The changes give us more flexibility and enable us to respond to your needs faster.

In a nutshell, Heretto CCMS release number now represents the year, month, and day when the software version was released. For example, Heretto CCMS 23.1.26 was released on January 26, 2023. Our release notes are now published weekly and grouped under the monthly number, like 23.1. For more details, contact your Customer Success Manager.

Content Editor

We started the year by continuing our effort to provide you with a great authoring experience. 🙌

Fixed

  • If you author content in a language other than English, you'll be happy to know that the spell checker now correctly recognizes words with characters that are not part of American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII). Examples of the characters include: ç, ć, è, ê, Ä™, ó, û, ż, ź.

  • You can now apply the bold element to content that includes a keyword element without getting validation warnings.

  • When a Reviewer or a user working in Suggesting mode edits a link (cross-reference), it is recorded as a Change Attribute tracked change. Also, the link is highlighted so you know there's an editing suggestion available.

  • Normally, when a publication has a broken link, you can see indications of that in both the Content Library and map tree. There was a temporary issue that prevented the broken link indication from being visible in the map tree. We have fixed that and now broken links are again highlighted red in the map tree.

Publishing

In PDF Generator, we made a change in how you set up code syntax highlighting and addressed a very short-lived publishing behavior. 🔥

Changed

  • In PDF Generator publishing scenarios, we changed the parameter type that you use to set up code syntax highlighting from Boolean to Option or String. If your PDF Generator publishing scenarios use code syntax highlighting, update your publishing scenario settings. See Enable Code Syntax Highlighting in PDF Generator.

Fixed

  • There was an issue in the PDF Generator where valid links in a document were presented as unresolved in the output. That behavior had the lifespan of an adult mayfly 🦟 and we're happy to report that it is no more!
