Intended Audience
This model is the only and default model available for Business subscriptions. Enterprise subscriptions can choose between the full DITA 1.3 specification and this model.
- Business Subscription
-
Uses the Simplified Information Model by default. Complete DITA 1.3 specification is not available. As a result, only DITA elements and attributes included in the model are available in the CCMS. This ensures seamless compatibility with all default outputs, including Heretto standard PDF Generator scenarios and basic Heretto Portal configurations - no additional customization required.
Note:The full DITA 1.3 configuration is not available for the Business subscription. If you've been using any elements that aren't listed in this model, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM).
- Enterprise Subscription
-
The Simplified Information Model is recommended and available. Customers can choose between the simplified information model and using the complete DITA 1.3 specification. Using the complete DITA 1.3 specification may require output customization.
Important Considerations
-
The Simplified Information Model excludes some DITA element groups like learning and training specialization elements, subject scheme elements, or indexing group elements. For details, see DITA Element Groups.
-
Content types, map types, as well as elements and attributes excluded from the Simplified Information Model aren't available in the Heretto CCMS interface for any user type.
-
The Simplified Information Model doesn't permit nested topics (topics within topics).
-
The Simplified Information Model uses the general task topic for its flexible structure rather than strict task topic.
