DITA Element Groups

Learn which element groups and elements are included in the Heretto Simplified Information Model.

The Simplified Information Model (IM), which is the default and only IM available in the Business subscription, excludes some element groups and elements to ensure ease of use and simplicity.

Note:

Any elements that have been excluded from the simplified IM are not available to use in Heretto CCMS. They have been hidden through a configuration, not through DITA constraints.

DITA elements are organized in element groups. An example of an element group is Concept elements and an example of an element that belongs to that group is concept body element (conbody). In this section, we provide information about which element groups are included in full or in part in this IM and which are fully excluded.

For a full list of element groups, see Language reference: All-inclusive edition in the DITA 1.3 Specification.

For a list of all elements included in this IM, see DITA Elements, A-Z.

Partially Included Groups

Some DITA element groups are included in the Heretto Simplified Information Model (IM) only partially. It means that some of the elements that belong to the listed element groups have been excluded from this IM because they are irrelevant, rarely used, or a better element is included that can be used.

For a detailed list of elements within each group, refer to the provided links to the DITA 1.3 Specification.

Fully Excluded Groups

Some DITA element groups are entirely excluded from the Heretto Simplified Information Model (IM). These element groups are excluded because they are rarely used, they have been deprecated, or are not a good fit for this IM.

For a detailed list of elements within each group, refer to the provided links to the DITA 1.3 Specification.

Note:

This IM excludes all DITA Learning and Training element groups and elements.
