User Roles, Permissions, and Privileges

Your user role determines which actions you can perform and which interfaces you can access.

User Roles and Permissions


Type	Role	Permissions
Administrators	Administrator	View and modify the Administration interface Branch content, merge branches, and delete branches Release content, deprecate and un-deprecate releases Open and edit all files and folders, except the locked files Create and open assignments in the Review interface Manage files in the Content Library Force unlock any locked file Assign additional privileges for other users. See User Privileges. Accept suggestions made by other reviewers Assign metadata to files and bulk change metadata Access Trash, restore from trash deleted files, and if enabled, permanently delete files Set permissions and bulk change permissions Publish content Access Reports interface and run reports Restore history revision Access localization jobs, create, download and upload localization jobs Open Locales in the resource manager and edit Locales Download files and their dependencies
Non-Administrators	Editor/Manager	Open and edit files that you have permissions to, except the locked files Create and open assignments in the Review interface Manage files in the Content Library Edit file content (topics, maps) Accept suggestions made by other reviewers Create new files and folders, upload files Assign metadata to files and bulk change metadata Lock files and force unlock files locked by the current user Publish content Access Reports for a map and run reports Restore history revision Access Localization Jobs, create, download and upload Localization Jobsl Open Locales in the resource manager and edit Locales Download files and their dependencies Access Trash and restore from trash deleted files
