Manage Users

Add a User

Users assigned the Administrator role in Heretto CCMS can add new users to the CCMS.

  1. In the Main Menu in the top-left corner, click Users.
  2. Click New User and provide user details:
    1. In the Username field, enter the email address of the user you want to add.
      Note:

      User names can only contain small letters. Upon saving user details, capital letters in the Username field are automatically replaced with small letters.

    2. Fill in the First Name and Last Name fields.
    3. From the Role drop-down menu, select a relevant option.

    4. Optional: From the Groups drop-down menu, select relevant options.

    5. Provide a valid password.
    6. To send all sign-in details to the user, ensure the Send notification email check box is selected.
  3. Optional: Under Privileges, assign additional privileges to the user.

  4. Click Save.

If you chose to do so, the new user receives an email notification with all details they need to sign in to Heretto CCMS. If the user enters an incorrect username or password five times in a row, they will be locked out for 30 minutes. After this period, they can attempt to sign in again.

Deactivate a User

Heretto CCMS Administrators can deactivate existing users.

  1. In the Main Menu in the top-left corner, click Users.
  2. In the users list, click the user that you want to deactivate.
    Note:

    An Administrator can reactivate a user at any time. Reactivating a licensed user, like Author or Administrator, requires a license.

  3. In the Edit User window, clear the Active check box.
  4. Click Save.

Reactivate a User

Heretto CCMS Administrators can reactivate users who were previously deactivated. Users can be activated one by one. There is no bulk operation available.

  1. In the Main Menu in the top-left corner, click Users.
  2. In the users list, click the user you want to reactivate.
    Note:

    An Administrator can reactivate a user at any time. Reactivating a licensed user, like Author or Administrator, requires a license.

  3. In the Edit User window, select the Active check box.
The user is active in Heretto CCMS again. They can log in to the system with the same credentials they used before their deactivation.

Download a List of Heretto CCMS Users

Heretto CCMS Administrators can download a list of active and inactive Heretto CCMS users as a CSV file.

  1. In the Main Menu in the top-left corner, click Users.
  2. In the top-right corner, click the Report button.
