Change the Oxygen Version Connected with Heretto CCMS

Note:

This documentation uses the word Oxygen to refer collectively to the supported Oxygen products: Oxygen XML Author and Oxygen XML Editor.

If you have multiple versions of Oxygen installed on your computer, you can change which Oxygen version is connected with Heretto CCMS. You can connect one Oxygen version at a time.

Ensure that you installed more than one version of your Oxygen product on your computer. Your Oxygen products must be installed in a default location on your computer.

CAUTION:
Installing Oxygen products in a custom location will result in a failure to connect Heretto CCMS and Oxygen.
Connect the appropriate Oxygen product version with Heretto CCMS. See Configure a WebDAV Connection between Heretto CCMS and Oxygen.

For macOS®, do the following:

When you install a new version of your Oxygen product, a protocol is run that enables the option in Heretto CCMS. If the option doesn't work for you out-of-the box, contact Oxygen support.

For Windows®, do the following:

On your computer, go to the Oxygen\plugins folder and move the webdav folder to the Oxygen\plugins folder of the new Oxygen version.

For Oxygen XML Editor, it's C:\Program Files\Oxygen XML Editor version number\plugins, where version number is the software version number.

Important: Ensure that you moved the webdav folder directly to the oXygen\plugins folder without any intermediary folders.
On your computer, open the Command Prompt as an administrator.
In the confirmation window, click Yes.
In the Command Prompt window, change the directory to the webdav\bin folder by typing cd and pasting the path to the bin folder wrapped in quotation marks (""). Press Enter.

cd "C:\Program Files\Oxygen XML Editor 27\plugins\webdav\bin"
Run the configuration script by entering: register_edit_in_oxygen.bat Oxygen_product_name Oxygen _product_point_version
Make sure to:
- Include spaces as provided in the example
- For Oxygen_product_name, use either editor or author only
- For Oxygen_product_point_version, provide the version in this format number.digit. For example, 26.1. For major versions like 27, use zero (0). For example, 27.0 .
A command for Oxygen XML Editor version 27: register_edit_in_oxygen.bat editor 27.0
