View DITA Content and Metadata for a Resource
You can view the content and DITA metadata of a resource in the Source Editor and via its REST URL. While it's handy for authors to view raw file source in the editor, using the REST URL is useful, for example, when troubleshooting issues. You can view the raw source of various file types, including DITA, image, or CSS files.
The REST URL response is equivalent to calling the Get Document Information CCMS API endpoint (documentation available upon request) and in some cases, like DITA files, provides more detail than the Source Editor.
Any user can view DITA metadata in the Source Editor. Users with authoring permissions can also view DITA metadata in a REST URL response.
