View and Restore Files Modified in a Bulk-change Operation

Bulk-change operations and other operations performed on multiple files simultaneously, like replacing files in a branch, are recorded in the Activity interface as commits. Any Heretto CCMS user can view files affected by a bulk-change operation. Users assigned the Administrator, Editor/Manager, or Author roles can restore all or selected files to their form from before the bulk-change operation.

  1. In the top-left corner, click the Main Menu and go to Activity.
  2. Find the commit you want to inspect.
    Note:

You can filter activity entries by date, user, and activity type.

  3. Click Commit.
  4. In the Commit window, review the list of files and select the ones you want to restore. Click Restore selected.
  5. In the Restore Revisions window, verify your selection and, optionally, add a comment for this restore operation. Click Restore.

You restored files to the revision from right before the bulk-change operation. Any changes made to the file between the bulk-change operation and the revision restoration are lost.
