Heretto CCMS 22.29
The latest release of Heretto CCMS brings a number of enhancements and fixes that span across multiple areas of the system. Read through them to see what's changed! 🙌
General Availability - October 28, 2022
The Content Editor got two enhancements: one is a new validation mechanism that prevents potential processing issues, the other makes adding a row to a table header simpler. 🎯
We added a validation mechanism that marks elements with ID attribute values that contain spaces as invalid. By definition, ID attribute values should not contain spaces or special characters because that can cause processing issues. For that reason, our Content Editor, Source Editor, and Content Library highlight elements that contain an ID attribute with a space as invalid.
As a result, after you receive an upgrade to Heretto CCMS 22.29, you might notice validation errors on files that were perfectly valid before the upgrade. If that happens, it means that those files contain ID attributes with spaces that are now correctly marked invalid. It also means that you need to fix those IDs by removing the space(s) or replacing it with a hyphen (-) or underscore (_).Important:
If an ID attribute that you need to fix belongs to an element that is reused or linked to, make sure to change the reference first. For example, if one of your content reference (conref) warehouse topics contains a note element with an invalid ID attribute, first use the reuse indicator in the warehouse topic to navigate to the topics that reuse that note and change the conref attribute, then update the note ID itself. That way you have an easy way of finding all files affected by this change.
Other options that might be useful are:
Not Valid filter in the Search tab
DITA Attribute Report
Changing the ID attribute for an element that is referenced may affect the following reference mechanisms:
content reference (conref)
content key reference (conkeyref)
key reference (keyref)
local link (link to an element in the currently edited file)
peer links (links to link content that is not available at build time)
contextual help links
You can now add rows to a table header by using the Table toolbar. Previously, it was possible in only in the Source Editor. Enjoy!
Working with metadata in the Resource Details Drawer has been improved. 💪🏽
We corrected a behavior where the Resource Details Drawer refreshed and scrolled to the top every time you made a change in a file metadata. Now you can make edits to multiple metadata fields without having to scroll each time.
The Localization module informs you when a localization package was not uploaded correctly. 👏🏻
We added a notification to the Localization module that informs you about a localization package upload that was unsuccessful. The notification is generic and we are working on more specific messaging. This error message can mean, for example, that your upload failed because your package was too large.
The Output tab can scroll to the very bottom of your publishing jobs list. 🎉
We addressed a behavior that prevented you from scrolling down to older publishing jobs in the Output tab. Now, even when you have dozens of publishing jobs in the Output tab, you can scroll through them all the way down to the oldest ones.
Release details are nicely visible when viewing a release. 🥰
We improved the release preview UI and now it shows much more detail about which release you're currently viewing. Whenever you view a release, you'll see a blue bar with the date of the release, the user who created the release, and the name of the release. We made sure that even very long release names fit in there! 🤓
Topics excluded from an assignment are collapsed again. 🤗
If you use Only require attention on topics to filter out some topics from a map when creating assignments, you will be happy to learn that we fixed an issue that prevented topics excluded from an assignment from being collapsed in the Review interface. Even when you set your assignments to only require attention on topics in the Draft status, topics with other statuses were still visible in your assignment. We fixed that and now topics excluded from an assignment are correctly collapsed in the Review interface.
